Jim Dykstra-Owner

Jim graduated in 1994 from Ferris State University with an Automotive Sciences degree. Jim’s dad Rich started Dykstra’s Auto Service in 1984 in Hudsonville, Jim became partners with Rich in 1995 and opened the Byron Center location in October of 2008. In addition to serving at his church and raising a family of 5 children with his wife Lori, Jim is very involved in the Automotive Aftermarket and takes a global approach with his involvement. He is a past member of the Service Center Advisory Board for the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance and is a current board member of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association’s Car Care Professional Network and the AAIA Education Committee as well as being very involved in local service center groups.

Rich started Dykstra’s Auto in 1984 on the corner of Chicago Drive and 32nd Ave. Rich is a great leader and has been an integral part of the growth of Dykstra’s Auto Service. Most of all Rich cares about his customers many of whom have been customers and friends for over 26 years.

Mark joined the Dykstra Team in July of 2008. Prior to joining the Dykstra team, Mark spent over 25 years working in Marketing and Sales with several large Automotive Warehouse Distributors. Mark’s responsibilities include, Human Resources, Vendor Relations, Accounts Payable and Receivable and Marketing for all three locations.

Dave is an ASE Certified Master Technician and joined the Dykstra’s Team in the Fall of 1996. Dave started as a Technician and became our lead Service Advisor in Hudsonville. In the Fall of 2008, Jim and Dave opened our 2nd location in Byron Center on Clyde Park SW. In addition to co-owning this location with Jim, Dave also is the Service Manager and a part-time Technician.
